It is an exciting time to be joining Draper Tools and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join our Workshop team in Chandlers Ford.

What will I be responsible for?

Joining our team as our Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the effective repair tools using agreed methods and processes. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Take complete responsibility for allocated workshop jobs.
  • Dismantle, clean, inspect, repair and test a range of small hand tools (power and non-power)
  • Occasional new product testing for QA and Buying.
  • Provide feedback to the Workshop Manager regarding repair issues/trends.
  • Ensure emails are reviewed and answered regularly.
  • Maintain records of repairs carried out
  • Take a “hands-on” approach to other mechanical engineering projects as required.

As our ideal Workshop Technician, you will experience within an engineering or mechanical environment with an interest in Tools. You will also possess:

  • Logical and practical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and health and safety
  • Ability to maintain individual productivity and quality standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player
