Job Description:

Do you have a love of copy writing and a talent for creating engaging written content across communication channels?

We are looking for a tenacious Communications Executive to promote our brands by creating and publishing written content for our external and internal communications channels.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role is responsible for producing copy for blogs and social media channels such as LinkedIn and for researching topical issues for thought pieces and case studies.

Other duties include helping with the production of on-line marketing materials such as e-shots and newsletters; and support in scripting presentations and bid documents to ensure that brand consistency is delivered through written communication.

Based in Crawley we are a dynamic business with clear plans to progress and disrupt the furniture market servicing the education sector. Travel to additional locations may be necessary to fulfil the duties of the role, including but not limited to, client office visits and external locations for training and development.

We are seeking a confident, talented, marketing executive to support the delivery of our marketing plan, and drive market growth across the educational sector.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Blog posts – regular production of topical opinion pieces, industry news and company news
  • Case Studies – ensure these are produced in liaison with the wider team including departmental experts
  • E-newsletters – using own sourced copy sent out via Mailchimp and managed in line with GDPR Regulations
  • Social Media – regular posting to LinkedIn, and relevant PR channels
  • SEO – ensure copy is optimised is line with agreed keywords
  • Presentations and Bids – lend copy writing support as and when needed
  • Agreed Messaging – maintain, review and adhere to target messaging
  • Internal marketing – post updates to company’s intranet, organise monthly ‘lunch and learn’ sessions for staff
  • Editorial team – lead regular meetings of staff across the business to discuss and develop content ideas
  • Reporting– management and analysis of monthly KPI reports

This is a full-time role but part time hours would be considered.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable ability to copywrite for different target audiences
  • Confident with ability to liaise face to face with different departments, senior team members as well as external contacts
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing
  • Resilient, highly motivated, and results driven
  • CIM qualified or BSc in Marketing, Communications or English

Desired Skills

Knowledge of Mailchimp, WordPress and Photoshop (desirable but not essential).
