Job Description:

Are you AAT qualified, with exceptional administration skills on the lookout for a new opportunity? If so, then read on.

As the Accounts Administrator you will be required to support the Financial Controller with all aspects of Purchase Ledger and Accounts. You will be responsible for entering invoices on to the operating system, matching invoices to orders, required data entry tasks, and general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inputting invoices onto relevant operating systems maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Adhere to the organisation’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. 
  • Updating bank transactions onto accounting system. 
  • Perform required data entry tasks. 
  • Correct storage and maintenance of all records, hard copy and electronic. 
  • Reconciling supplier statements and issuing remittance advice. 
  • Prepare supplier payment runs.

Essential Skills:

  • General office skills with accounts experience gained from a similar role.
  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade A-C or equivalent. 
  • Accounting qualification, AAT or equivalent. 
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills, self-motivated and able to prioritise.
  • Must be computer literate and have experience working with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel. 
  • Experience working with computer programs SAP, Sage Accounts 50 and MS Dynamics.
  • Strong numerical ability. 
  • The initiative to work individually or within a team environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy with the ability to analyse and solve problems.
