What will my new role involve?Joining the Perrys team as a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for:Supporting and training the Technicians to improve the skill sets of the teamDuring busy periods, undertaking the maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standardDelivering first class customer servicePlan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mixEnsure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicatorsAllocate jobs to the workshop team to ensure maximum efficiencyLiaise with internal and external customers as required for the collection and delivery of vehiclesEnsuring all parts that are required to complete work within the workshop are orderedEnsure that these parts are linked to the correct job number and placed in the correct allocated rack accordingly
Could this be the ideal role for me?As our ideal Workshop Controller, you will currently be working either as a Mechanic or a Service Technician in a garage / dealership environment and be ready to take the step up in to an exciting new hands on role. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work to short deadlines and juggle competing priorities. The role demands a flexible attitude and excellent customer service skills as you will be responsible for liaising with both internal and external customers.You will need to have a proven track record in running a successful fast paced workshop, have good management skills and be able to provide leadership for the Vehicle Technicians.
