Job Description:

Hours are Monday to Friday 6 am to 10 am + additional overtime will be required

How you will make an impact as a Security Officer: 

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
  • Min 5 years Security experience
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms as appropriate.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records.
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.
  • Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.
  • Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations.
  • Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Branch Management.

What you will bring to be a Security Officer :SIA LicenceMust have the right to work in the UKMust be over 18Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemploymentExcellent communication skills and a strong customer focusBe able to work independently as well as part of a teamBe punctual and reliableBusiness Acumen Commercial AwarenessRelationship Building and NetworkingPhysically fitSmart and presentableConfident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written languageGood level of GCSE English MathsFlexible approach to working hours

Desired Skills

  • Experience of working with customers in a corporate environment, maybe in previous reception, concierge, hosting, or Front of House
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CCTV experience/licence
  • Working knowledge of BS7858
  • Anti-terrorism awareness
  • Fire Marshall
  • Health and Safety at Work.
