Job Description

Routes to Retail has grown in the past 2 years and is developing further with the agreement to manage the news and magazine category for LIDL on behalf of the industry.  This has created two new exciting opportunities to join our dynamic team and work directly with one of the most successful retail multiples in the UK. 

We are currently recruiting for two Executives to work in Routes to Retail based at our Peterborough office; these are both full-time permanent roles. 

Sales Development

  • Support the development & delivery of strategic account plans for newspapers and magazines
  • Support implementation of range reviews
  • Coordination of all ad-hoc sales initiatives


  • Manage retail estate database – openings/closures/refits/out of scope
  • New store and store refit programme
  • Order/replace secure boxes
  • Manage Title Maintenance process


  • Day to day management of regular merchandising activity
  • Monitor collection of data from 3rd Party Merchandisers
  • Assist in production of briefs for 3rd Party Merchandisers
  • Manage point of sale inventory, and manage despatch point of sale ordering.



Performance Monitoring

  • Develop and maintain headline performance reports
  • Develop and maintain new action-driving reports for merchandisers, publishers and retailers
  • Work closely with peers to ensure all relevant activity reporting is generated to the correct end-user requirements and deadlines.
  • Analysis in support of all ad-hoc activity
