Job Description

Get to the heart of marketing a sportswear brand with internship based at PUMA UK’s London office.

Whilst due to Covid-19, all PUMA UK staff members are working from home, ultimately you will need to be based within communtable distance to South Bank London.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Brand Communications Manager, you will execute the marketing strategy alongside the wider Performance Sports Marketing team covering the football, fitness and running categories. This will include the day to day management of PR opportunities, influencer strategy and content creation, grassroots initiatives, events & activations, as well as ambassador content opportunities and appearances – notably our portfolio of UK based football players, athletes & influencers.

From a strategic perspective you will be the point of contact for Go-To-Market planning and wrap ups across all product and brand campaigns – working closely with the brand comms, trade marketing and sports marketing to collate all information required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Press office management – sharing PR materials, placing product orders
  • Influencer Strategy – reviewing influencer lists, product orders, content approval.
  • Photo shoots/content creation – preparation & onsite support
  • Seeding – ordering & sending products to athletes, ambassadors, media & influencers. Working on bespoke packaging projects.
  • Monitoring results & Reporting – cross functional for sharing internally and externally.
  • Go To Market Strategy – supporting the team pulling together cross function plans for sharing internally and externally.
  • Grassroots – supporting external partners with UK wide football boot trial programme at schools and academies.

Essential Skills

You will either be a current student on a Sport Business/Marketing related course looking to complete your sandwich placement during 2021/22. We will also consider graduates for this role as a year long internship.

As an entry level role, we don’t expect you to have lots of practical experience but any transferrable or relevant skills from past roles will be considered within the application.

You’ll have strong organisational and time management skills – we have a small, dynamic team and you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of work in this role. You’ll love being part of a team, but able to work autonomously. Critical to your success will be your understanding of our target consumer and their lifestyle.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • IT skills: Outlook, Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Graduate with PR, communication, marketing, analytics and/or social media skillset
  • Passionate & knowledgeable about sports & fashion.
  • Good communication skills, a pro-active mindset,
  • Great at structure, administration and organizing projects
