Do you have a passion for fashion and the active wear trend? Join PUMA on a placement as a Marketing Intern in the Sportstyle department. This is a 12-month placement due to start in Summer 2021.

Whilst due to Covid-19, all PUMA UK staff members are working from home, ultimately you will need to be based within communtable distance to South Bank London. 

ROLE AND PURPOSE
We're looking for an enthusiastic Brand Marketing Intern to join the Sportstyle team at PUMA UK’s office in London for 12 months. If you are/have studied a fashion marketing or related degree or work experience that you feel makes you a strong candidate for the role, we want to hear from you.

This placement gives you the opportunity to gain an overall understanding of Sportstyle marketing through working with every area of the business and with all team members in this global sports lifestyle brand with over 60 years of heritage. 

The PUMA UK operation is purely a wholesale operation, where PUMA UK selects from international designs. You will work within the sportstyle marketing team, which is concerned with marketing to retail and fashion buyers within the UK market. There are a number of key PUMA launches and activations throughout a year, which you will also be involved with, as well as having the opportunity to support PUMA’s work alongside community talent and ambassadors.

PUMA's marketing strategy focuses heavily on the use of ambassadors. This role is instrumental in managing these relationships through social media, at photo shoots and presentations & networking events. You will be responsible for coordinating seeding requests, placing orders and managing the distribution of items for seeding as well as the strategy aligned to the desired output.

You will contribute to the social media strategy, designing key account road maps and working in project teams. Furthermore, you will support the generation of high performing relationships with retailers, ambassadors & agencies so you will need to be confident in talking to people and effective in managing relationships. 


On a day to day basis you will support and manage the office facilities and deliver on all servicing requests for Sportstyle as directed by the Sportstyle Brand Comms Manager. This will include supporting the internal team communications, preparing for and attending weekly update meetings and taking minutes.

The opportunity is based in central London and is offered with a salary of £22,000.

Essential Skills

You will be a current student on a Fashion Marketing or related degree course looking to undertake your sandwich placement in 2021/2022. You will have a good level of planning and organising skills and will be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative. You will have well-developed problem-solving skills, and the ability to make decisions with conflicting information.

You will be confident in expressing your ideas and a hardworking individual with excellent communication skills. You must have strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.

Excellent written and spoken English and knowledge of MS Office computer packages will be of benefit. You must be able to demonstrate your strong interest in and passion for fashion and sport through blogging and active attendance at events. 

Finally, you will be commercially aware have a strong desire to make a difference for a global market leader.
