Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant or recent Marketing Graduate who is keen to take the next step in their career.

Diligent and self-motivated, the candidate must have a passion for marketing and be keen to develop their career within the field. They will work closely with the marketing team to devise new strategies and campaigns to deliver results in line with the company’s commercial objectives.

The Opportunity

The role requires strong written communication skills with a creative flair. The candidate will have the ability to write copy about our products and services for a wide range of media, paying a high attention to detail. 

The ideal candidate will also be able to create and curate high quality content for our social media channels, contributing to marketing campaign planning, execution and optimisation.

Reporting to the marketing manager, the marketing assistant will provide support to the department as well as having the opportunity to develop their skills and gain experience in a 360 role which touches upon all aspects of marketing, digital, branding and events. They’ll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to the department and be a key player in the development of future campaigns.

This role is ideal for a bright, enthusiastic and ambitious individual who would like to progress within their marketing career. The department is growing rapidly and offers the right candidate the possibility to advance quickly.

About the Role

  • Social media management including planning, writing/creating content, scheduling using HubSpot marketing software and monitoring the brand presence online.
  • Creating and managing Facebook ad campaigns.
  • Copywriting for a variety of media; blogs, articles, press releases, brochures/flyers, website etc.
  • Assisting in the creating of marketing content and collateral.
  • Acting as a brand guardian to make sure all content shared is in line with company brand guidelines.
  • Creative agency management.
  • Maintaining partnerships with media agencies and vendors.
  • Tracking and reporting social media and digital marketing efforts using Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp and Sprout.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the HubSpot CRM database.
  • Developing email marketing campaigns; writing content, creating templates, optimising.
  • Event and Marketing administration.

Additional Information

Core hours of work are between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Essential Skills

  • B2B and B2C marketing experience.
  • Excellent understanding of traditional and digital marketing methods and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of branding concepts such as tone of voice, personality, attributes, values and positioning.
  • Understanding of SEO and how to optimise online content alongside managing social media channels and executing campaigns.
  • Good understanding of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and Google Ads.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Good understanding of Facebook ads; developing strategies, content & ad creation, reporting.
  • Passionate about marketing with understanding of data and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Educated to degree level in Marketing or a closely relevant field.
  • Minimum grade B GSCE in English language.

Desired Skills

  • One year in a marketing role.
  • Experience working with HubSpot marketing and sales platform and Drupal CMS.
  • Understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with video editing.
  • Good understanding of Canva.
  • Experience using Asana.
