As part of the Procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials for the production lines, checking incoming deliveries plus also having a supporting role in importing some of the raw materials from abroad. Monitoring delivery lead times and tracking to ensure goods arrive on time, communicating delays and concerns to the relevant parties in the business. Within the role you will be raising purchase orders and sending through to the suppliers, along with booking in of deliveries to goods inwards schedule.
This role will mainly be office based, with some work on the Plant which will be required.
The operations of the role includes, utilising MRP tools to coordinate ordering of raw materials required for production adhering to agreed safety stocks and reorder points. You will also be responsible for organising and raising all associated import paperwork, to ensure goods come through and clear customs in an appropriate time period, at the lowest cost.
Regularly the role will require you to communicate price changes to the relevant parties in the business, keeping standard costs up to date at all times for all raw materials and consumables. Furthermore, daily tasks will require you to stock check raw materials as and when required and partake in monthly site stock take, receipting goods on arrival to the system and associated filing as per process, resolving of invoice queries and where applicable, raise the relevant credit notes and raise works orders as required.
