We are currently recruiting for an Arrears and Litigation Senior Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience in managing residential mortgage and loan portfolios in a highly customer-focused environment within the financial services sector.

Your role will involve delivery of workout solutions to customers experiencing payment difficulties and management of the delivery of the litigation process, whilst being a support to the Arrears and Litigation Manager in deliverance of high standards in all areas of the business.

You will be working within an established team that is a vital part of Pepper's operations, and you will receive ample support so that you can be successful in your role.

We would like to hear from candidates with good experience of delivering litigation workout options and who are able to analyse problems, demonstrate great interpersonal skills, and deliver exceptional customer service.

As an Arrears & Litigation Senior Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • To assist the manager in the leadership of the team. Training new starters with ongoing support in the early stages of their tenure
  • Delivery of workout solutions to customers experiencing payment difficulty and working to deliver an efficient and compliant litigation process
  • Assessing and actioning manager referrals
  • Discussing and negotiating arrears workout options, e.g., arrangements, capitalisation, loan modifications, shortfall sales etc.
  • Providing assistance in resolving customer complaints
  • Attending relevant meetings in the absence of the manager, and providing timely and relevant feedbac
  • Management of ad-hoc issues and projects as they arise
  • Maintenance of internal control safeguards
  • Act as a role model to the team through motivation and inspiration
  • Assisting the manager in ensuring required levels of productivity and performance are delivered
  • Facilitation of the timely provision of accurate information to internal and external stakeholders
  • To review and approve free text letters to customers

Essential Skills

We're looking for candidates with prior exposure to operational loan management in a mortgage context who can consistently deliver outstanding customer service, and show a rudimentary understanding of the relevant regulation and associated legislative policy and the impacts this has on the role. Experience in team management is also critical. Collection's experience is also highly desired.
